Ann Birney to Lead Book Discussion

Ann Birney will lead a discussion of Miriam’s Kitchen by Elizabeth Ehrlich at 2 PM on Sunday, October 3,, sponsored by the Ashland Library, 604 Main St.

The Talk About Literature in Kansas (TALK) book discussion series is provided by the Kansas Humanities Council (KHC), a nonprofit cultural organization with over 35 years of experience promoting understanding of the history and ideas that shape our lives and build community.  For more information, visit www.kansashumanities.org.

Birney is an independent scholar and partner in Ride into History, an historical performance touring troupe.  She holds a Ph.D. in American Studies from the University of Kansas.  Birney has been leading TALK discussions since 1994.
