Joel Milford donates art for the Fundraiser

Joel Milford, Wildlife Artist from Fowler, Kansas, will have an Artist Proof print of his drawing, “Crowned Again” 2017, up for silent auction to help in the Ashland Library’s fundraising efforts. This pencil drawing depicts a mature whitetail buck working a fence line and taking a moment to check his scrape.
This buck is very familiar with the area as his sheds from the previous year show. “Crowned Again” was influenced by Joel’s passion for shed hunting across the state of Kansas.
Joel has been recently recognized for his drawing of “From The Ashes”. This drawing was inspired by a picture from local rancher, Cole Gardiner of the Gardiner Angus Ranch. The first print was auctioned and additional prints were sold to help raise money for the Ashland Community Foundation. These donations helped fund grants to aid the many farmers and ranchers who lost so much in the Starbuck Fire in March of 2017. “From The Ashes” note cards will also be for sale in packs of 5.  A portion of these proceeds are continuing the effort to support the Ashland Community Foundation.
