The State Library had been in contract negotiations with Overdrive, and they failed. In a nutshell, Overdrive wanted to impose a 700% administrative fee increase over the next 3 years and wanted to stipulate that all of the audiobooks and ebooks purchased from them over the last 6 years were “leased” not “owned” as per the original contract. Either was kind of difficult to take, but both demands together were unreasonable. So we are moving!
